New Wives Sanctuary is a sacred space curated just for engaged and newly married Christian women who are learning how to walk out this new chapter with grace, faith, and wisdom. Whether you're adjusting to being a wife, navigating new roles and expectations, or simply longing to connect with women who “get it”; this event was designed with you in mind.
Marriage is a blessing but it’s also a major shift. This sanctuary creates a peaceful and honest environment where you can feel safe to share your heart, ask questions, and be poured into by seasoned wives and faith-led women who have walked the journey before you.

Jessica Okorie
Jessica is the founder of Jesus Walks With Her, a nonprofit faith-based community dedicated to helping women grow in their walk with Christ through sisterhood, transparency, and spiritual empowerment. As a new wife, a passionate speaker, entrepreneur, and podcast host of Jesus Talks With Her, Jessica creates spaces for women to heal, grow, and thrive — all while keeping Jesus at the center.

Ese Disi
Ese Disi is a wife of over 16 years, a mother to a blended family of four, and a passionate voice for faith-filled marriage. Born and raised in Nigeria, she met Jesus at 17 and has been walking with Him ever since. With a heart for godly marriages, she brings real-life experiences and biblical wisdom to the joys and challenges of marriage. With honesty, humour and hope, Ese helps new wives and couples build Christ-centered homes where grace, communication and connection can grow. Her heart is to remind every wife that they are not alone and that even the trials of marriage can be holy. She is currently working on her masters in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, equipping herself to serve couples with both biblical truth and practical tools to strengthen their marriage.

Funto is a devoted Christian, wife of 16 years to Dayo, and proud mother of two sons, Rire and Tiwa. She is an active member of Kings City Church, where she leads a small group and serves in the marriage ministry alongside her husband.
A passionate communicator and encourager, Funto’s heart’s desire is to empower others—especially women—to walk in purpose, lead with conviction, and honor God in every sphere of influence.

Lisa Banyem
By God’s grace, Lisa has been joyfully married for five years. She is a devoted wife, a working mother of two young children (ages 2 and 4 months), and a passionate advocate for breaking generational cycles surrounding marriage and family. Lisa’s heart beats for mentorship, especially walking alongside young women as they prepare for God-honoring marriages. Whether through prayer, encouragement, or intentional conversations, Lisa finds deep purpose in supporting women as they pursue spiritual and emotional wholeness. Her desire is to see women flourish in their roles as wives, mothers, and daughters of the King.

Yasmin Uzamere is a wife, mother of two, and Family Medicine Physician. She has been married for 6.5 years. When she’s not using her hands to heal, they’re busy wrangling the family for an adventure or trying out new recipes with her oldest.

Destoni Vela is a wife, mother, Licensed Mental Health Professional, Certified Life Coach, and the Founder of Her Place | Safe Space, a faith-based nonprofit empowering women through healing, identity, and transformation. With a deep passion for merging mental health and spiritual growth, she helps others navigate life’s transitions while staying rooted in God’s truth. Her mission is to create safe spaces where faith and emotional wellness can thrive together.
